Synopsis
In der ersten Kino-Dokumentation über das tragische Leben der Prinzessin von Wales nimmt uns der Oscar®-nominierte Regisseur Ed Perkins („Black Sheep“, „Tell Me Who I Am“) mit auf eine Zeitreise und lässt uns an Lady Dianas Leben, Vermächtnis und ihrem tragischen Tod aus einer völlig neuartigen Perspektive teilhaben: Durch die ausschließliche Verwendung von zeitgenössischem Archivmaterial spricht die Geschichte für sich selbst und ermöglicht uns einen sehr direkten, unvoreingenommenen und persönlichen Zugang zu der wohl meist fotografierten Person aller Zeiten. Die kompromisslose Montage zeichnet ein überraschendes und überwältigendes Bild einer Frau, die heute aktueller und moderner denn je erscheint.
